Pines for bonsai
Pines (genus Pinus) are evergreen, resinous conifers in the pine family, Pinaceae, with about 100 to 115 species native mainly to the Northern Hemisphere, from boreal and temperate regions to tropical mountains. Their needles grow in bundles called fascicles, usually two to five per bundle. Pines are especially popular for bonsai, and many people regard them as the most typical bonsai trees.
