Terms of Service
The terms that cover your use of the Bonsai Wonderland care library and shop.
These terms cover your use of Bonsai Wonderland — the care library and the shop. By using the site, you agree to them.
Last updated: August 13, 2026.
Who we are
Bonsai Wonderland is operated by Tranquil Pots LLC, 2603 Lakeview Drive, Florence, SC 29505, USA. Contact us at [email protected].
The care library is educational
Our species guides, problem diagnoses, and reminders are general horticultural information to help you learn — not professional, botanical, or legal advice, and not a guarantee. Living plants respond to many factors we can’t see (your climate, water, light, and handling), so we can’t promise any tree will survive. Use your own judgement, and when in doubt, consult a local expert or extension service.
Plant safety and toxicity
Some of the species we describe and sell are toxic to people, pets or livestock, and some carry thorns or irritant sap. Where we know of a risk we state it on the species guide, sourced from veterinary poison-control and university extension references. That information is provided to help you choose and site a plant sensibly; it is not veterinary or medical advice. If you suspect a person or animal has eaten part of a plant, contact a doctor, a vet, or a poison-control service immediately rather than relying on this site.
Accounts and sign-in
Some features may let you create an account or sign in with Google or Facebook. You’re responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Don’t impersonate others or use false information. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.
Reminders and emails
If you subscribe to seasonal care reminders or a newsletter, you’re opting in to those emails and can unsubscribe any time using the link in every message. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your email.
Orders, pricing & shipping
- Placing an order is an offer to buy; we may accept or decline it (for example, if an item is out of stock or mispriced).
- Prices, shipping costs, and availability are shown before you pay and may change over time.
- Items ship directly from our nursery partners. Some live trees can’t ship to certain states because of agricultural rules; checkout tells you before you pay.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe.
- Shipping timelines, our live-arrival guarantee, and returns are described on our Shipping & Returns page, which forms part of these terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the site — including no attempts to break, overload, scrape at scale, or gain unauthorised access to it, and no unlawful or infringing use.
Intellectual property & photos
The site’s text, design and images belong to us or our licensors. Third-party photographs are used under Creative Commons or public-domain licences and are credited where they appear; if you reuse one, follow its original licence. Don’t copy our written guides wholesale without permission.
Third-party links & affiliate disclosure
We link to other sites and sometimes recommend products, including as an affiliate, which means we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend things we believe fit the task, and we mark affiliate links. We’re not responsible for third-party sites’ content or policies.
Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bonsai Wonderland and Tranquil Pots LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the site or a purchase is limited to the amount you paid us for the item at issue (or, for the free library, US $50).
Government & legal requests
When we receive a government, law-enforcement, or other legal request for user information, we handle it under the process set out in our Privacy Policy. In short: we review each request for validity and legal sufficiency before responding; we object to, seek to narrow, or challenge requests that are unlawful, overbroad, or improperly issued rather than complying automatically; where a valid request must be honoured we disclose only the minimum data legally required; we give the affected user notice where we are legally permitted to do so; and we keep a record of the requests we receive, who made them, the legal basis, our reasoning, and how we responded.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
Changes
We may update these terms; we’ll change the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.
