About this Variegated Ficus Triangularis Bonsai, 10 Years Old (Ficus triangularis 'Variegata')
Ficus triangularis 'Variegata' is grown above all for foliage: each leaf is distinctly triangular in outline, green through the centre and bordered by a broad creamy white margin, so the canopy stays patterned and bright at any season. This plant is 10 years old and 13 to 14 inches in height, and it is suited to indoor growing all year. Variegated figs hold their contrast better where light is good. Like other ficus it prefers a settled position, since abrupt shifts in light or temperature can cost it a few leaves.
