25 years of work stand behind this trained Juniperus procumbens nana, a low, wide plant 12 inches tall spreading 16 by 19 inches. The dwarf juniper came originally from Japan and is now the evergreen most commonly turned to for bonsai in America, largely because it forgives so much: it is hardy, patient about difficult conditions and capable of living for decades. The foliage stays green right through the winter months. This is an outdoor tree and should be kept in the open air.
