Procumbens nana is grown for bonsai more than any other evergreen in the United States, a preference founded on sheer durability: it is hardy, long-lived, and content in situations that other conifers resent. The tree has been shaped in a trained style. Site it outdoors, where full sun keeps the foliage tight and the natural cycle of the seasons can run its course.
