About this Large Juniper Stone Landscape Scene Bonsai, 10 Years Old (Juniperus procumbens 'Nana')
A 10-year-old Juniperus procumbens 'Nana', 10 to 11 inches tall, set into a stone landscape. The rocks are imported and acid-washed, which accounts for their unusual surface, then cut and cemented so that they occupy a single flank of the pot, with a broad well between them holding standing water. Spanning that gap is a ceramic bridge, joined to the stone at either end, and a pagoda figurine is cemented to an outcrop above it. Procumbens junipers are hardy conifers grown outdoors, where they receive the light and seasonal cold they need.
