About this Juniper Bonsai with Scalloped Edges - Large, Land and Water Pot (Juniperus procumbens 'Nana')
11 years of cultivation give this dwarf juniper a heavier trunk and denser foliage pads than younger examples of the same cultivar, and at 12 to 13 inches it makes a substantial display. The planting occupies a land and water container with a scalloped rim: firm ground for the roots at one end, a water well at the other, echoing a tree perched above a shoreline. 'Nana' is the classic American bonsai evergreen, undemanding, extremely durable, and long-lived enough to be worked on for decades. Newcomers do well with it. Keep the planting outdoors.
