About this Juniper Bonsai Starter Kit, 4 Years Old (Juniperus procumbens)
A 4-year-old juniper, 6 inches tall, supplied with the equipment needed to look after it. The little tree has been trimmed already and established in an imported glazed ceramic container. With it come annealed training wire, a rock textured in several colours, pebbles to finish the soil surface, a miniature ceramic figurine, a humidity and drip tray, and a pair of Satsuki bonsai shears. Junipers take readily to pinching and wiring and forgive a good deal of experimentation, which makes a tree of this size a sensible one on which to learn basic shaping.
