About this Small Flowering Fukien Tea Group Bonsai, Three Tree Forest, 5 Years Old (Ehretia microphylla)
Three trees are planted together here as a forest group, each 5 years old and standing 7 inches tall. Ehretia microphylla comes from the Fujian province of China and carries small, dark green leaves that suit a composition at this scale. White flowers are small and may appear at any point in the year rather than in one fixed season; those that set go on to form red berries which darken as they age. The species enjoys warmth and performs well indoors.
