About this Flowering Fukien Tea Bonsai, Curved Trunk, 37 Years Old (Ehretia microphylla)
A 37-year-old Ehretia microphylla with a curving trunk, measuring 12 by 13 inches and standing 21 inches tall. The species comes from the Fujan province of China and carries small, dark green foliage of the sort that keeps a tree in proportion at this scale. Small white flowers can open at any point in the year rather than in one fixed season, and those that set go on to form red berries which deepen in color as they mature. Fukien tea likes warmth and does very well indoors.
