About this Ficus Philippinensis Banyan Bonsai, Exposed Roots (Ficus philippinensis)

Forty-two years of growth have built this Ficus philippinensis to 27 by 28 by 32 inches, the largest tree in this group, with exposed roots and a striking banyan structure, in a 17-inch brown rectangular mica container. The species carries elongated evergreen leaves that emerge bronze before hardening to green, so new growth shows as a flush of colour across the canopy. Like the other figs it is tolerant and trouble-free indoors, asking for warmth, light and consistent watering.
