Juniperus procumbens nana is the dwarf juniper from Japan that has become the most widely grown evergreen in the United States, and for many people its outline is what the word bonsai calls to mind. This plant is 32 years old, worked in a trained style, and measures 18 inches tall with a 14 by 23 inch spread. Junipers of this kind are tough, remarkably long-lived and tolerant of conditions that would finish more delicate material. It belongs outdoors through the whole year.
