About this Flowering Mount Fuji Serissa Bonsai with Golf Ball, 10 Years Old (Serissa foetida)
This Mount Fuji Serissa is 10 years old and stands 12 to 14 inches tall. A subtropical evergreen with variegated foliage, it is imported from Japan and can flower heavily, carrying quantities of small white star-shaped blooms above the leaves. The plant has been shaped in the golf ball style, its canopy trimmed to a tight rounded mass that sets off the fine leaf texture. Serissa foetida rewards steady conditions indoors, where the variegation and the flowers both show to advantage.
