About this Small Chinese Flowering White Serissa Bonsai, 6 Years Old (Serissa japonica)
Serissa japonica, 6 years old and 7 to 8 inches tall. The common name, tree of a thousand stars, comes from the sheer number of small white trumpet-shaped flowers it carries through summer and into autumn. Leaves are shiny, green and slightly elongated, roughly the shape of a spoon, and they clothe a full canopy that has been worked into a rounded broom form. At this modest size it sits comfortably on a windowsill or a small display table indoors.
