About this Small Flowering Brush Cherry Bonsai, 5 Years Old (Eugenia myrtifolia)
A young Australian Brush Cherry, 5 years old and 6 to 7 inches tall. It has been placed under both Eugenia myrtifolia and Syzygium paniculatum, and either name may be encountered on a label. The evergreen leaves are small, firm and distinctly glossy, and where the light is generous they take on red highlights. Flowers are white. Its modest size makes it a manageable indoor tree, and the fine leaf keeps the proportions convincing even on a plant only a few inches high.
