About this Flowering Brush Cherry Seven Bonsai, Forest Group, 7 Years Old (Eugenia myrtifolia)

Seven specimens of Eugenia myrtifolia, all of them 7 years old and 8 to 9 inches tall, assembled into a forest. The Australian brush cherry earns its place in bonsai chiefly through leaf size: small, firm and glossy, in proportion to trunks of this scale. The flowers are puffy and white. Where light is generous the foliage answers with red highlights, so a well-lit position pays for itself in colour as much as in growth. A planting of this many trunks reads as a stand of woodland rather than a specimen. Grow it indoors.
