About this Medium Baby Jade Variegated Bonsai, 7 Years Old (Portulacaria afra 'Variegata')
A variegated Portulacaria afra, 7 years old, measuring 7 by 9 inches across and 10 inches in height. The variegated form of the Elephant Bush is difficult to find, which is much of its appeal. Leaf shape is close to circular, at roughly one third the dimensions of a common jade plant's foliage, while trunk, branches and leaves are all fleshy and act as a water reserve. That reserve makes the species tolerant of drier interior air, and it makes an excellent bonsai for either a home or an office.
