About this Medium Baby Jade Bonsai, Land and Water Pot, 6 Years Old (Portulacaria afra)
A 6-year-old Portulacaria afra, 9 to 11 inches tall, set in a water pot with a well along one side to hold water; a fisherman figure is included with the planting. Native to South Africa and long known as the Elephant Bush, this succulent stores moisture in its thickened trunk, branches and foliage. Its leaves are pale green and almost circular, roughly a third as large as those of a common jade. The planting is kept indoors, where good light keeps the internodes short.
