About this Baby Jade Bonsai, Three Tree Group, 5 Years Old (Portulacaria afra)
Three plants of Portulacaria afra, each 4 to 5 years old and 9 to 11 inches tall, share a single pot as a group planting. Known as the elephant bush, this South African succulent carries pale green leaves that are nearly circular, at roughly a third the scale of common jade foliage. Trunk, branches and foliage are all fleshy and act as water storage. Three stems in one container make a fuller composition than a lone plant. It suits a home or an office.
