About this Baby Jade Group Bonsai, Five Tree Forest, 9 Years Old (Portulacaria afra)
A forest group of five Portulacaria afra, each 6 to 9 years old and 10 to 11 inches tall. The common name elephant bush belongs to this South African succulent, which bears rounded pale green foliage sized at close to a third that of the ordinary jade plant. Stems, limbs and leaves are all fleshy, holding moisture in reserve. Grouped in this way, the five stems read as a small stand rather than as separate plants. It performs well in a domestic setting or a workplace alike.
