About this Japanese Green Maple Bonsai, Trained, 15 Years Old, 22 Inches Tall (Acer palmatum)
15 years of training have shaped this green-leaved Acer palmatum into a balanced tree 22 inches tall and 17 inches across in each direction. It is a robust, undemanding maple, well suited to a patio, a deck or a spot in the garden. Give it a position with plenty of sun, since light governs the freshness of the color both as the leaves flush in early spring and as they hold late into the growing season. The tree is deciduous and should live outdoors throughout the year.

This is a living Japanese Maple (Acer palmatum). Before you buy, this is what it will ask of you:

- Full morning sun with light afternoon shade in summer; protect foliage above ~85 °F (30 °C) to prevent leaf scorch

- Keep evenly and consistently moist — never let the rootball dry out, but do not leave it waterlogged. On the "wet" side of the spectrum.

- 5–8 (some cultivars tolerate 9; protect roots below zone 6 in containers)
