About this Japanese Green Maple Bonsai, Trained, 25 Years Old (Acer palmatum)
A trained Japanese green maple, Acer palmatum, at 25 years old, spreading 18 by 19 inches and reaching 26 inches in height. This is a hardy, easily grown tree with fine, delicate foliage, at ease in the garden or on a deck or patio. Give it sun: light brings out the best colour both in the early spring flush and in the late-season foliage. Being deciduous, it drops its leaves in autumn and shows its branch structure through winter. Keep it outdoors throughout the year.
