About this Flowering Tropical Red Hibiscus Trunk Bonsai, Braided Trunks, 12 Years Old (Rosa sinsensis)

Hibiscus rosa-sinensis originates in Asia and across the islands of the Pacific, and serves as the national flower of Malaysia. Its association with Hawaii is strong, though the Hawaiian state flower is in fact a native species, H. brackenridgei. The genus offers many colors and blossom sizes; this plant is 12 years old, stands 21 to 25 inches tall, and carries red flowers of about 2 inches across. Several stems have been braided together to form the trunk. It is grown indoors.
