Juniperus x pfitzeriana 'Old Gold' is a compact evergreen of graceful carriage, its ascending branches clothed in deep bronze-gold foliage that keeps its color through all four seasons. The leaves are soft, thin and scale-like, turning a bright golden yellow at the tips of new growth. 44 years of cultivation have produced this specimen, which stands 26 inches tall on a 12 by 21 inch footprint. Like other junipers, it is a tree for the open air rather than the house, and wants a bright, airy spot.
