About this Small Flowering Dwarf Plum Bonsai, Land and Water Pot, 5 Years Old (Carissa macrocarpa)
Carissa macrocarpa, known as the Natal dwarf plum, is evergreen and semi-tropical, and this one is 5 years old at 7 inches tall. Its white flowers are star-shaped and carry a scent; where they are pollinated, dark red fruit follows, plum-shaped and edible. Indoor care is undemanding. The pot is divided, with a water well occupying one side of the planting to suggest a tree rooted on a lake shore, and a fisherman figurine, fishing pole and ceramic fish accompany it.
