About this Flowering Crape myrtle Bonsai, Curved Trunk, 22 Years Old (Lagerstroemia indica)
Lagerstroemia indica trained with a curved trunk and tiered branching, 22 years old, 11 by 13 inches and 24 inches tall. The small glossy leaves break bronze in spring, settle into green, then finish the season in yellow, orange or red. Summer brings the flowers the species is known for: large clusters of crinkled petals with a crepe-like texture, in a range running from white and pink through red and purple. The bark is a feature in its own right, smooth and mottled, peeling away in patches. Kept indoors.
