About this Wire Bonsai Tree Sculpture, Windswept Style
The windswept form leans hard in one direction, trunk and branches all raked over as though shaped by a prevailing wind on an exposed site, a classic bonsai styling rendered here in metal rather than wood. It is made from 22 gauge black steel wire, fine enough to taper the branch tips down. The sculpture is bonded to a heavy base of mined granite, polished, with small circular felt pads fitted beneath. A decorative object, not a living tree.
