About this Wire Bonsai Tree Sculpture, Forest Scene
Instead of a single specimen, this piece groups several wire trees together into a forest scene, trunks of differing heights arranged across the stone to suggest depth. The material throughout is 22 gauge black steel wire, chosen for the finer texture it gives at twig scale. Everything is anchored with a bonding agent onto a thick slab of mined granite that has been polished, and small circular felt pads on the base stop it marking a tabletop. Nothing in it grows; this is metalwork for display.
