About this Professional Bonsai Soil 5 lbBag (2.5 Qts.)
A 5 lb bag, roughly 2.5 quarts, of the fired shale growing medium that experienced bonsai growers have relied on for years. Selected shale is expanded and vitrified in a rotary kiln at high temperature, leaving a hard, porous granule. In a pot that structure allows air and water to pass freely to the root system and does a great deal to stop the mix compacting down over the season. Use it alone or as the backbone of a blend.
