Araucaria heterophylla is a cone bearing conifer from the South Pacific, offered here as a four year old planting standing 13 to 14 inches tall in an artisan elephant pot. The habit is open and airy, with light green foliage that darkens as the tree matures. Three plants share each pot, and the branches are trimmed by hand between thumb and index finger rather than with shears. It takes warm rooms in its stride and does not object to dryness, though glaring sun is best avoided. Easy care.
