About this Flowering Japanese Mock Orange Variegated Bonsai, 12 Years Old (Pittosporum tobira 'Variegata')

Pittosporum tobira 'Variegata' has thick, glossy evergreen leaves, oblong in shape and arranged in whorls, marked in creamy white and green. The flowers are rather small and creamy white, and their scent closely resembles that of orange blossom, which is where the common name mock orange comes from. At maturity the plant sets a leathery fruit known as a capsule. This specimen is 12 years old, its height 12 to 13 inches. It does very well indoors.
