About this Flowering Downy Jasmine Bonsai, 8 Years Old (Jasminum multiflorum)
The downy jasmine comes from India and keeps its leaves year round. A fine pubescence coats every stem and leaf, lending the plant a soft grey-green cast. Its 2-inch leaves are ovate, with rounded bases, and sit opposite one another along the shoots. Small white star-shaped flowers cluster along the stems in almost every month, though their scent is lighter than that of white star jasmine. This plant is 8 years old and stands 10 to 12 inches. Grown indoors, it keeps flowering most reliably in warmth and bright light.
