About this Flowering Arabian Jasmine Bonsai (Jasminum sambac)
A five-year-old Jasminum sambac of 12 to 14 inches, trained from a bushy vine into tree form, which is the whole trick with this species. Arabian jasmine is grown throughout the tropics as an ornamental and for its scent, and the flowers are the reason to keep it: intensely fragrant, opening white and fading toward pink as they age. It performs well as an indoor flowering bonsai given warmth and a bright position, and it will flower repeatedly rather than in a single season.
