About this Dwarf European Beech Bonsai, 39 Years Old (Fagus sylvatica 'Sandrode')
39 years old, 19" x 19" x 27" tall. This slow-growing dwarf European Beech is a great selection for any bonsai enthusiast. The foliage has rounded wavy leaf edges. The most distinctive feature of the Beech is its unmistakable cigar-shaped buds. These buds are rather tender and the Beech does not produce secondary buds. Nature's way of protecting these buds is for the Beech to retain its dead leave
European Beech bonsai care
This is a living European Beech (Fagus sylvatica). Before you buy, this is what it will ask of you:

- Root rot from overwatering; also drying out, and frost damage to soft spring growth
