About this Blue Ceramic Bonsai Pot, Rectangle 16.0" x 12.5" x 4.0"
Sixteen by twelve and a half by four inches, this rectangular ceramic pot comes in a blue glaze from an imported Chinese production run. The larger rectangular footprint accommodates a tree with a wider root spread or a heavier trunk than the smaller blue rectangles in this line, while the four-inch depth keeps the profile in the shallow-to-moderate range typical of formal upright specimens. Blue, like other bright glazes, is generally kept for deciduous or flowering trees rather than conifers, since it draws attention rather than blending with grey-green foliage. A practical step-up pot for a maturing tree.
