About this Green Carpet Juniper Bonsai, Cascade, 27 Years Old (Juniperus communis)
A 27-year-old Juniperus communis 'Green Carpet' trained as a cascade, measuring 11 by 19 inches with a height of 11 inches. This evergreen cultivar loves sun, and its dense, prostrate branching, the carpet-like habit that gives it its name, lends itself naturally to cascading work. Needle-like leaves come out bright green in spring, then deepen toward dark green as the season advances. This is trained work, not natural growth. Keep the tree outdoors, where it can have the open light it prefers.
